Sign-ups – now with the CORRECT link!
Jul. 3rd, 2023 11:02 pmIn our previous post, we accidentally linked to the parent collection rather than the 2023 one. We apologize for the confusion and will e-mail all participants who mistakenly signed up there. Moral of the story: don't mod while asleep.
Juletide 2023 Collection (for real this time)
The schedule still remains! All times are 23:59 GMT. Noms and sign-ups might open early, but stages won't close before the stated time.
noms: 28 June - 2 Jul (Nominations will be open slightly overlapping with signups to allow for more time and are currently open
sign-ups: 1-6 Jul (Countdown to sign-ups closing.)
assignments out: 7 Jul
due: 23 Jul (Countdown.)
reveals: 26 Jul (Countdown.)
author reveals: 1 Aug (Countdown.)
Participants who don't have anyone to write for will be given 24 hours to adjust their sign-ups or drop out.
As an FYI, we will not be allowing any AI-created content in Juletide. More details will be added to the collection profile before signups open, but we wanted to give that reassurance upfront.

Date: 2023-07-03 08:38 pm (UTC)Also, I don't know if this is a DW issue or a 'me' issue, but I'm seeing that clarification post on my reading page but not when I go directly into the community. On the other hand, I see this announcement of sign-ups being open in the community, but it doesn't show up on my reading page. (I am definitely subscribed.) I thought I'd mention that, because if it's not just me, that could cause a fair bit of confusion.
The other thing is - there's a fandom with 4 nominated characters, and all four characters have been approved. (I'm sure of this, as I'm the one who nominated them.) However, only two of them show up as options in the sign-up; unfortunately, they're the two I want to request. The fandom is "The Mod Squad (TV)" and the characters missing are "Pete Cochran" and "Linc Hayes".

Date: 2023-07-04 06:00 am (UTC)The reading page stuff might be a cache issue? This post should definitely show up on reading pages.
Nominated characters not showing up in the dropdown is a long-standing AO3 bug. You can copypaste the characters you wish to offer directly from the tag set into the offers form.

Date: 2023-07-05 07:40 am (UTC)And it does seem the reading page issue is just me. I haven't found anyone else meanwhile who has the same problem.
Will do that with the sign-up! I'd only ever seen the copypaste workaround suggested for freeforms, not characters, but if it'll work for characters, that's fine. :)
